PE rarely found in patients presenting to ED with syncope
A new international study found that pulmonary embolism (PE) was detected at presentation in fewer than 2% of stable syncope patients seen in the ED, and during two-year follow-up, it occurred in fewer than 1%.

Readmission, mortality rates high for hospitalized HF patients worldwide
A systematic review and meta-analysis found that 13.2% and 35.7% of heart failure (HF) patients were readmitted at 30 days and one year and that 7.6% and 23.3% had died by those respective time points.
