Short-course antibiotics in low-risk MSSA bacteremia did not increase mortality risk
Patients receiving six to 10 days of antibiotic therapy for uncomplicated methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) bacteremia had similar 90-day mortality and relapse rates compared to those who got 10 to 16 days of therapy in a retrospective Danish study.
