Natriuresis good indicator of decongestion in acute decompensated HF, trial of acetazolamide shows

Patients with decompensated heart failure (HF) who were randomized to acetazolamide had higher urine sodium concentrations (UNa) than those on placebo, and every 10-mmol/L increase in UNa was associated with a lower risk of all-cause death or HF readmission, a prespecified analysis found.

Procalcitonin algorithm reduced antibiotic use in COVID-19 inpatients
