Endovascular thrombectomy improved functional outcomes, meta-analysis finds

Patients receiving endovascular therapy (with mechanical thrombectomy) had no significant improvement in 90-day rates of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage or all-cause mortality compared to those getting standard medical care (including tPA).

30-day readmissions after MI declined over past decade

Myocardial infarction was the cause of only 8% of the readmissions, while 38% of them were for a noncardiovascular cause. Over the whole period, 36% of 30-day readmissions occurred within a week of discharge.
