Migraine may be linked to perioperative stroke, hospital readmission
The researchers calculated a predicted absolute risk of 2.4 perioperative ischemic strokes for every 1,000 surgical patients overall, 3.9 for every 1,000 patients with migraine but no aura, and 6.3 for every 1,000 patients with migraine and aura.
